Originally released in October of 2001, the Dimension 2100 series was an early example of Dell desktop models to feature an all-black, or what Dell called “midnight grey,” color scheme. The 2100 filled the entry-level budget model category, and Dell described it as “a complete solution at an affordable price” and that it was “geared for surfing the internet and word processing.”
The 2100 was produced until mid-2002 when it was replaced by the Dimension 2200 model.
